He has been active in medicolegal work for the last fifteen years undertaking complex clinical negligence cases in the UK and overseas. He currently averages 15-20 cases per year with his work being split roughly 70% claimant and 30% defendant. He has extensive experience of report writing, case conferences and expert meetings. Live court experience has been relatively limited because of the overwhelming number of cases which have settled before that stage.

He is willing to undertake clinical negligence and legal aid work and to act as a single joint expert or mediator. He does not undertake criminal or child protection work except for cases requiring specific neonatal expertise. He is usually able to complete a report within two months from receipt of instruction.

He has received training in report writing, court skills (Cardiff Modules 1-3), CPR Part 35, PD35 and Protocol Changes , and concurrent witness conferencing (hot tubbing). He is a vetted member of the UK Register of Expert Witnesses and the Faculty of Expert Witnesses. In addition he is a trained and accredited Mediator (London School of Mediation).
